| The most common Advent calendar features chocolate, but the Playmobile ones are good for kids who like things they can manipulate. This one is a little heavy on birds, but still has a number of elements that a kid can put together. I prefer the earlier one with the skating theme, but that's apparently no longer available. A little expensive, but not a bad calendar if you're looking for one that things that kids can play with. If you're careful with the cardboard background and boxes, it can last you for many years. |

| I purchased this for my six year old son as an advent calendar. Luckly it arrived before he came home from school and I had time to assemble all of the boxes! It takes maybe twenty minutes to assemble. He had a great time getting up every morning to see what each box held. We plan on adding to our collection of Playmoble calendars and building them every Christmas! I definately recommend this to anyone with children 3-4 years and up. |

I have an earlier version and this is the fourth or fifth year it has made December mornings exciting for my two boys (now 8 and 5). I have no problem getting them up in December now! The last couple of years I have added a small candy in the boxes as an extra treat. We have lost some of the original boxes so I make my own with tin foil and a number sticker which works fine.

My four year old son has been dazzeled with this. At first, I thought that he might be disappointed with the days where there is just a little bird or something, but he has been so excited with each little gift, and is enjoying the scene coming to life.
I didn't give him the setup with all of the boxes at once though, I didn't think that would go over too well, I am just keeping the filled boxes in the closet and giving him one each day.
I will definately look forward to purchasing Playmobil advent calendars in the future. |

This gets my 6 year old up every morning. The first thing he does in the morning is go to the Playmobil Advent Calendar Xmas in the Park. Every morning he gets to open a new box to see what is inside. He is building his own story every day which shows off his creativity. One morning we laughed when he opened up a baby stroller. We knew the next day would be a baby, but we had to wait which adds to the fun.
The toy pieces are very durable and of extreme quality. The backdrop or scene is cardboard which is expected.
Your son or daughter will love this item. It gets mine out of bed in the morning which is usually a bit of a challenge at times. |
