Its gleamy leather upper is rich in detail with its lace-up front and tonal grommets that match the chunky metal buckles across the vamp and around the shaft for a city chic flavor. The zip-up side will make it easier to sink into when the height of the stacked heel boosts you up. Its subtle rounded toe keeps it classy, but the rest makes room for the glamour that oozes from this sexy boot.

| i'm a 7M, bought a 7.5M. what i got was a great deal of extra length behind my heels and a snug width fit. snug, as in i-can-barely-move-my-toes-in-them fit. well-made and of high quality, but with frighteningly minimal cushioning. the balls of my feet hurt like insane after wearing them for just a few hours. i agree with the other reviewer that this baby is at least 4 inches if not more--i'd really have to stretch my already-tiptoeing feet to be able to walk in them. standing still for more than half an hour made me want to break down in tears. i guess the torture is a trade-off for the drop-dead-gorgeous silhouette and form, but seriously this is probably the most UNcomfortable pair of boots i've ever owned. they're great for functions with short walks and long hours of sitting down. guaranteed to elicit stares of (jealous) awe and compliments. |
| A very stylish and sturdy but very high-heeled boot | 2010-06-07 | 4 / 5 |

These boots are pretty fantastic to look at. The silhouette is very sleek, the detailing nicely done. 5/5 on the style side if rocker chick meets urban chic is what you are looking for. However...
I need to note, that though the product description (on this and any other site) generally says a 4 inch heel with a 3/4 inch platform, this is *emphatically* not the case. As mentioned by another reviewer, the shoe not only lacks padding but the platform is not even 1/2 inch. I know my own pain threshold for heel height to be just about 3.5 inches (that is, heel height - platform height), and these are still a stretch for me. Not too uncomfortable, as the heel is sturdy and the slip-resistant grip bottom is very useful, but I cannot wear these as my daily go-to shoe as I had hoped because of the strain they are on my feet and legs. (A shame, really, as the non-slip grip bottom really appealed to me for a safe, daily shoe).
Bottom-line, if you can handle 4 inch heels easily, and that's 4 inches after subtracting platform help, these will be a piece of (very attractive) cake for you. Otherwise, take note of what use you want to put them to (i.e. daily versus more occasional and alternated wear). The GUESS Maeve Boot is definitely very stylish but it seems that in this shoe, some comfort has been sacrificed for appearance. |

| I like them a lot. They could use a little more padding. They look great with jeans and casual pants. If you're not used to heels, these can be a little uncomfortable at first. |

These boots are good quality and such but not worth $180. I also wish the heels were taller like 5 inch heels instead of 4 inch ones. You'd think being $180, you'd have better cushion insoles in them but they are pretty thin, like in the cheap fetish shoes.
The buckle strap on the front dont come off with out being cut off and the boots look better with out it.
Over all, they are decent boots but like I said, not worth $180. |
